Dusting this old thing...

Well, I'll be surprised if anyone reads this, but I have a little time so....

Much has happened in the past two months since I've written in this blog, yet so little. Working at the turkey plant is okay, but I will soon seek a better, higher-paying job at Crown. Hopefully I get it.

I haven't been online much because I have slow Internet access at home and I frankly just don't have time to go to the library everyday. Work, girlfriend and sleep is well enough to fill the full capacity of what is my current life.

So far, I have saved up only $1000 in my bank account from working. Not too bad, but the longer I savor my money, the harder it is not to spend it.

I bought Spencer's Casio keyboard for about $450. I want to sell it already though I don't even have it paid off for. Once I do, I will sell it to a music store hopefully, then I want to use the money to get a better keyboard I saw online: A Studio Logic 880. I heard it played on YouTube the other day and I love the sound of it. $600ish, but I have my keyboard to sell, along with a clarinet and an old flute and a Chinese-made violin that I will never learn to play.

Oh yeah, I finally got my first car for my 21st birthday. A 1998 Pontiac Grand Am... Pretty nice, excellent condition. Car insurance wasn't as bad as I expected either.

I can't say I'll miss college itself, but I sure will miss all my friends: Luke, Spencer, Alex and Tyler... Maybe I wasn't a big enough party animal. I'm not a big drinker like everyone else up at BG... Maybe the university could see that I was sort of an outsider. I mean, I could've tried to convince the university that I was depressed most of my time there. I mean, in retrospect, I can see that that was my main problem... Too bad I couldn't have seen it then. I did get some counseling, but maybe not enough.

Oh well, it was my lack of communication that failed me. Now I must do things the hard way. I go to work with a bunch of assholes everyday. People who will try to bring me down to their level once they find out that I'm not going back to school. I'll be muddled up with the blue collar population...

Maybe what Luke said is right: The best art will never be seen, read, or heard. I hope that my music gets me out of this place.............

    Hey bro!

I was just about to write you from the BG webpage, but it'll be easier to just do it here.

First of all, it's good to see you've updated, I check in about once a week regardless. ^_^ I'm glad to hear you and Beth are still together, good news. I think she's really good for ya, even though I didn't get much chance to talk to her. ;)

As far as the job and car thing, just be happy you have one of both, eh? I did some half-hearted job searching this summer, but didn't manage to find one (although I got a note from UPS saying I never picked up my last check, so that $150 helped out), and my car's transmission has been out from the day I drove him from BG. =P

What else? Oh, don't worry too much about the people you're working with. You're right, they're just trying to make your life as miserable as theirs, which is unfortunate, but some people are just less blessed in certain areas--like personality or behavior.

Oh. I've been watching a lot of Miyazaki, and I still laugh (and am reminded of the times we watched them) everytime John Lassiter appears to tell me what I treat I'm in for, and how this particular Miyazaki movie is his favorite. ^____^

We still need to meet up this summer, man! I want to see ya, hang out before I'm back in college. And just because you're not going back for school doesn't mean you're going to get away with not coming up every few weekends to hang. LOL. I like Chad, but come on now, I don't want to hang out with him EVERY weekend. ^_______^

We're gonna have to keep better in touch the next few weeks and figure out some time you can come here, or I can go there, does that sound cool to you? Drop me an e-mail or something! You know my bgsu one, and my other is ljgroh@hotmail.com

Oh, and when you're on youtube, I noticed you can watch pretty much any of the Cowboy Bebop episodes (if you ever have the desire to finish that series which we started, if you remember), or Samurai Champloo (which was the one where it got all trippy when they burned down the pot fields XD), or another one called, "FLCL" (or Furi Kuri, Fooly Cooly) which is just as trippy if not more---on youtube. ;)

Alright buddy, get back to me!
    Luke
