Long, long night...

Wow... I had an interesting day today.

I wake up at 2. Beth gives me a call to get online and help her decide on getting some Def Leppard and Journey Tour tickets. Can't wait to see them in July at the Riverbend! Then I found out that my old buddies Spencer and Alex started up a business... a REAL business. It's a gamer's lounge where kids will get to order beverages and play RPG's, LAN games, and DDR. They have a website and even rented out a store for the whole thing! I was amazed! Here's the link! In the future, I will have a button for my links list made for the lounge! It opens on April 28....REALLY looking foward to it!

Then I decided to finally clean my room and do some laundry in celebration of finding a new major (I'm weird like that...) After that, I gave Luke a call and we got together and made a visit to Bob Evans. Well, ironically, as we were eating, Spencer and Alex walk in with their friend John. So I went up to say hi real quick because I haven't talked to them in about a month and I thought I'd congratulate them on starting their business. They asked me if I wanted to help them paint their walls tonight, so I agreed, though I felt a little reluctant about it because I had already had plans with Luke. But I also figured that I have sort of deserted Spence and Alex for the past month, so I figured it'd be a good way to catch up with each other.

Well, Luke and I then finished our meal and we decided to go get some movies that we could watch sometime over the next week, so we hit up Blockbuster and got Pulp Fiction and Grave of the Fireflies, which is another Miyasaki film. Then we decided to browse BG for a nice coffee chop we could chill at on a regular basis to discuss project ideas, hang out, or just have our dorky, awesome-ass random deep conversations of the universe and why things would be cooler if we ran it. Well, we both have heard of a coffee shop/library called Grounds For Thought, though we have never really been there, but I had an idea of where it was and we did make it. It was actually a really decent place to just chill and talk. So we'll probably be making more trips there in the future.

After that I went home, changed clothes and headed to the lounge. Well, it turns out that they had some painting done, but there was an "office" in the middle of the main room built out of lumber and dry wall that we had to tear down before going any further with the painting. So having only enough tools for two men to do that job, Alex and I decided to make a trip to Howard's to see a couple bands play. There wasn't anyone too great tonight. It was a cover-themed night, and the first band we saw covered U2 and the second band played a couple Marvin Gaye songs, then we left to go back to the lounge.

Well the office was still halfway up, so I decided to take some pics. We didn't do anything to heavy on painting yet because we had to clean up a lot of dry wall and work on remove a wall mirror and shelf. It was a fun night though. I'll post up pics as soon as I get the okay from Alex and Spencer....

Finally at about 3:30 (technically 4:30), we called it quits. Alex went back home to Spencers while John, Spencer and I made a trip to Big Boy. We got some food, swapped some good-times stories, and then made our ways back home. I think I might help them out some more tomorrow, but I will also be sure to hang out with Luke, as we have some movie-watching and ping-ponging to do!
