Get a haircut...

Today was just kinda blah despite how nice it is. I'm still just getting over my head cold, but hopefully it will be gone by tomorrow. Tonight I'd like to get my laundry done and perhaps even get a haircut. I'd like to grow it out for a change, but there's just too much to maintain when growing it out and I think short hair flatters my face more (it makes me look more like a badass rather than a high school pretty boy.) Plus, who wants to spend two hours trying to get your hair just right when all you need with a buzz cut is a little gel and your fingers?

Haha... I just set up an appointment for 6:00. I will post up before and after photos later on.

So other than being sick and sleeping, I haven't been doing too much. I'm currently working on two different videos simultaneously, and they're both roughly halfway finished, but they are taking a long time to finish. If I had a computer that wouldn't freeze up every 5 minutes I'm sure I'd have at least one of them finished by now. I really need to update my CPU. It's so fricking slow and if I had a faster computer I'd probably be recording music and making videos like their was no tomorrow.

You see, Microsoft has a way of screwing you over, just like any other computer company. Last year, for instance, I used Sonar 2.0 recording software and I made a good 9 recordings for my Inertia project. Well, when connected to the Internet, the computer requests to update automatically. So you do so because you don't want it to crash or anything, but what happened last year was my DirectX software was updated and could no longer execute old files (DirectX is software that ran Sonar 2.0 and some games I used to have on my PC.) So I could no longer use Sonar 2.0 to record and I had to find a newer version.

Well, Spencer hooked me up with Sonar 3.0, and my computer can actually execute it. However, it uses both a shitload of RAM and takes up a lot of my CPU when I run it. Same thing goes for Windows MovieMaker.

What's happening is that Microsoft keeps updating my computer so that it can run the latest software, just enough so that I know how to use. But once I try to actually get something done, it freezes up on me. This is Microsoft's way of saying: "We'll let you use this software, Jeremy, but your going to have to give us more money for new hardware in order to operate anything to make completed projects!"

Bill Gates -- I understand your one of the most powerful men in the computer and technology industry... But give me a fucking break, man!

Oh well....
