If I were a blonde...
I'm one of those persons that like to buy things on impulse.
For example... About a month ago, Beth and I were at a Wal-Mart and I out-of-the-blue decided that I wanted to buy a skateboard.
I still suck at skateboarding...
Then today, I decided to "just look" at some video editing software at the bookstore. Well, I found Adobe Premiere Pro 1.5 for just $25. I had some money that my mom had sent in the mail ($50). I was kind of shocked by the price of the software. It sounded kind of cheap, as opposed to Photoshop and other software that ranged from $150-$400. I thought maybe there was a catch... I thought maybe the catch was that it was an older version of Adobe Premiere.
So I "checked" the system requirements, basically to see if I had enough RAM to run the software, which I do. And I bought it.
Of course... I didn't realize until AFTER I opened the package that it's an "upgrade" for Adobe Premiere 1.0 (which I don't have). Plus, I also noticed that myIntel Processor is 100 MHz to slow to actually run the program (an upgrade for this will cost me about another 100-200 junior bacon cheeseburgers.)
Suddenly, I felt that humiliating feeling that I felt when I rented a DVD when I was 13 because I thought my computer's CD-ROM could play it... Man, I was so computer illiterate...
I can't return the software and I'm glad I only spent $25 on it rather than $75. I will eventually get this software installed, but probably over the summer when I've got a faster processor installed and Adobe 1.0 (which I think my buddy Spencer can get me a copy of for free!)
I think I have learned a little something from this experience: The bark always grows on the outside of the tree.
This calls for a nostalgic commercial involving Ernest and Sprite....
